Dear Josh or Sarah,
I have watched several of your videos and appreciate the information the two of you have been shelling out. My questions are probably a little more extensive so I will give you a little background. My wife and I bought a home in August 2005. We did not buy over our heads (thank god), but we somehow are not behind on our mortgage at all after I lost two jobs in two years as well as a year without a job. I have since joined the Army and am getting ready to be permantly assigned to a base in OK.
Here comes the qustions. I am pretty sure that we qualify for a short sale however, we did a zero income verify mortgage and split it 80 20. How does a short sale work with two mortgages such as ours? I have heard that after a short sale has gone through the process and all paper work is done and filed that the bank can still come after you for the reainder of the moneys owed….Is this a rumor or fact?
I am also not from the Twin Cities area. I am from Tampa bay area and was wondering if you could set me up with a realtor in my area to get this process started.
Sinserely,
Shawn
